How to Apply for Hillel International Scholarships

Start your application by creating an applicant profile! Here, you will fill out contact information, list references, and share your academic record.

Can’t finish your application in one sitting? No worries! You can save your scholarship progress to resume at any point. Just click the ‘Save my progress and resume later’ button at the top of each page.
After completing your applicant profile, you now have the opportunity to apply for as many scholarships as you’re eligible for. Please take a moment to scroll up to the top of this page for all eligibility requirements.
Each scholarship that you apply for will have a few short-answer essay questions ranging from 150 words minimum to 500 words max. Pro tip: leadership comes in many forms — share a story with us that shows us who YOU are!

Hillel Scholarship Program Deadlines
- January 22, 2026 — Hillel International scholarship applications open
- March 16, 2026 at 9:00 am EST — Application deadline
- March–June 2026 — All applicants are reviewed by the Hillel International Scholarship Program committee
- June 2026 — Award recipients are chosen and recipients announced
- January 2027 — Hillel International scholarship applications open for the 2027–2028 academic year
