Hillel students remember Kristallnacht

Kristallnacht was a night filled with violent anti-Semitic demonstrations across Germany. Synagogues were torched, Jewish store windows were smashed and sacred Jewish items were destroyed. Students around the world commemorated the 81st-anniversary of the “Night of Broken Glass” with events at their local Hillels.

As a child, Sam Stack’s favorite family tradition was waking up early with his dad on Sundays to watch auto races on TV. Years later, only a sophomore at Virginia Tech, he spent his Sundays building and designing professional race cars for an Israeli startup in Tel Aviv.

Hillel International Launches New Center for Community Outreach

After two years evolving under the umbrella of Hillel International, The David Project will become the Hillel U Center for Community Outreach, a new initiative to inspire relationship building across cultural, religious and ethnic divides on campuses throughout the Hillel movement.
