Hillel International is thrilled to announce the Vav (Sixth) Cohort of our Springboard Fellowship. Over the next two years, these 49 amazing young professionals from across the nation will join 43 campus Hillels to spur innovation, Jewish educational programming, and social justice initiatives.
This summer, 328 students across 14 campuses are participating in the 8-week internship on Hillel-partnered programs. The storied internship program is returning for another summer full of networking, valuable work experience, and connections to the holy land.

The yearlong halt was the first time that Birthright Israel, the largest educational tourism organization in the world, cancelled its 10-day heritage trips in 22 years. Since its inception in 1999, Birthright has provided over 750,000 free trips to Israel to young Jewish adults.

As campus rabbi at the time, Rosenthal had to figure out how to engage the students who weren’t accepted.
